*Yes, there is a marquee at the top of this page; the only one on the Boulevardier pages. Pointless, isn't it? That's the point.
In general, there's nothing wrong with advanced HTML features, but in my opinion, not much is right with them, either. Most of the recent additions to HTML do little to enhance the delivery of information; they are all flash and sizzle, with no substance. Frames are promising, but they serve as an obstacle to navigation more often then they enhance it. For now, I see no need to add any of these features to my pages.
If you have problems reading any of my pages, with any browser, please let me know.
I have tried to make these pages reasonably attractive while respecting users with slow connections. No page loads more than 20K of purely ornamental graphics, including backgrounds. Graphics that are considered to be part of a page's informational content are not limited by this restriction.
I make no claims regarding the compatibility or load times of pages accessed through my external links!
A number of different web authoring tools have been used in the construction of these pages. At present, all my page creation and maintenance is done with DerekWare HTML Author, a freeware editor for Windows 95. Original graphics for these pages were created with GeoWorks Ensemble. Other graphics were obtained from various web sites and edited with LView.
Many thanks to the DorfMan for helpful advice, and some of the best links found on these pages.
